November 22,
2009:
Well, here is another new 2D/3D Retro
game
for H+Soft Arcade!
Retro Invaderz VS. Battle
in 2D/3D. The other day, I was playing around
with a new idea for a versus game series. 2
player games using two game pads! This new idea
actually worked quite well for two players to
play together simultaneously - Unfortunately it
requires two game pads or joysticks to be
plugged in at the same time. Unfortunate in the
sense that not everyone has two game
pads or joysticks! But for those who do, this
new game is a blast! Why did I choose to use two
game pads or joysticks? Well, I figure, If one
was to use the keyboard or mouse, it gives one
or the other an unfair advantage! Especially if
dealing with kids playing, you know they will
fight
over who gets to use the controller! This
project also
spawned some
updates to
the existing 2D/3D game library. This new game
release (Retro Invaders VS. Battle) features a
3D graphics display that can be toggled on or
off. Making me realize that all the other 3D
games have individual 2D
versions
- making two different games using more disk
space that just isn't necessary! So, these
following 2D/3D games you see scattered around
this news post have been recom- piled, Updated
and merged into one Game. Click the screen-shots
to get info, download or update to these new
versions.
All
the future games featuring a 2D and 3D version
will be done this way as well. I would like to
point out another thing too. As you can see in
these screen shots, there are two images in each
one. This indic-ates a game with two games
merged or a 2D and 3D avail-able display option.
The Info screen shots (on this website) for any
games such as this have and will have, in the
future, two-in-one screen shots giving you a
preview of the two game versions or running
displays. You should remove (delete) both the
old 2D and 3D versions of these games from
H+Soft Arcade.
Especially the 2D versions. Because, the info
pages and their screen shots are now removed
from this website! Whew! That's allot of typing!
But, I think I covered everything! Oh, and I
updated
Attack of The Techno
Mutant Space Bees - 3D Edition (not
pictured) as well. It's not merged or anything
like that, but rather improved the 3D effects a
bit, and darkened the background - it's not so
bright blue now. There has been several new
releases and changes in this last month, so to
stay informed on many things, please read the
Oct
24-Nov 15, 2009.
Also I have a new Rocket Boot Santa game in the
making for Christmas! I will post more info and
a screen shot for this new development very
soon!
