My Old Stuff Vol. 1: The Goblin

Objective: The first game in the 'My Old Stuff' game series. Remakes of my old games from way back. Deep in a dark forest, there is a jack o' lantern kingdom. On Halloween, when the clock strikes midnight, a hairy goblin comes out of his slumber to feed. What does he eat? The jack o' lanterns of course! The Goblin is a very retro action game where you must eat all of the jack o' lanterns on each level. Once you start the game, the goblin begins running in a downward motion. He can only run down and doesn't stop! You must guide the goblin left and right diagonally through the trees to eat the jack o' lanterns. When all the jack o' lanterns are gone, you will then proceed to the next level with increased speed, trees, jack o' lanterns and of course, higher scoring.

Tips and Info

Menu: To access the menu during play, Tap 'Space', 'ESC' or Button 2 on your game pad or joystick controller. From the menu you can Start, Resume or Exit a game in play, adjust the Sound and Music Volumes or Exit 'The Goblin'. You can also exit the game by pressing 'ESC' from the title menu.

Scoring: Scoring is as follows in this game:

Jack o' Lanterns: +10 Points x the current level.

Level complete: +200 Points x the current level.

Controls: Supports Keyboard and Game Pad:

Keyboard: Use the Left and Right arrow keys to move the goblin.

Game Pad: Move your D-Pad or Analog stick left or right to move the goblin.

Play Tips: Remember the goblin moves a whole block at a time, so plan your route! As the goblin can only move downward, moving left or right sends him in diagonals - Use this to navigate through tight spaces in the trees! This game has full screen wrap allowing you to appear on the opposite sides of the screen! As you complete levels the difficulty increases with speed, more trees and jack o' lanterns! The goblin doesn't have a taste for trees, he can safely eat 2 on each level, any more and the game is over! Timing is critical when controlling the goblin, hold left\right just as he moves!
